4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The NYC Teen Fellowship is an initiative designed for Jewish teens to gain experience in professional settings through a Jewish framework. We're thrilled to be partnering with PresenTense, a Jewish entrepreneurship accelerator on this Program.
During our first session, we'll get the opportunity to meet with leaders at DoSomething.org, who empower young people to “help make the world suck less,” by connecting teens with an idea and drive to make social change. We’ll learn from them how the take ideas into action, what it means to take risks in the workplace, and how they set up their office space to encourage ideation.
In the second session, will meet with employees at CompStak, a for-profit startup that helps brokers and real estate developers gather information to help them make informed decisions in the workplace. We’ll be joined by the CEO of CompStak, Michael Mandel, to hear the actual process of creating a start-up and how he took an idea and made it a reality.
In both sessions, PresenTense will share different ways that they work with their Entrepreneurial Fellows, and give our teens concrete skills they can use in the future.
We're excited to have PresenTense as a co-sponsor of this event.
Registration Cost: $60.00
This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12. Space is limited to the first 15 teens who apply.
